Out With The Old...

The "trash the dress" phenomenon boggles my mind. I have mixed feelings about ruining one's wedding dress, maybe I'm too sentimental. But there's one trash the dress shoot that I was totally able to get on board with. Check this one out...make sure to read the bottom ;)

Amber worked with the super talented Seattle-based photographer Heather Lynn on this awesome TTD session She had been married once before and decided that she was getting remarried in a few months, it was time to get rid of the past. Heather worked with her to do a unique take on trashing her dress and came across a carnival. Luckily, they were able to get the Carnies in on their shoot (who wouldn't love to be apart of this?!) and were able to set up shop. Amber really took trashing the dress to a whole new level! You go girl!

"Emerald Underworld"

Oh Gloria Wong just brings me to my knees. I can't even put into words how stoked I am over everything she designs. For Wedding 360 she did a cocktail party, "Emerald Underworld", that is just dripping with glamour!
I'm mildly obsessed with this color combination. There's just so much going on in this shoot that I can't seem to pick my favorite part. Maybe it's the seating section, or perhaps all the details on the lamp shade, oooh or maybe awesome hanging candles!! Yes, Gloria Wong has out down herself again.
If you live out in San Francisco, be sure to get in touch with the fabulous team at Gloria Wong Designs for your next event...Shabina Says So<3

Major thanks to LunaPhoto for these fabulous shots from the Wedding 360 event!

Hangovers Are Cool

Kella MacPhee has done the impossible, she's made hangovers cool. In an Oct. 2008 shoot (yes I know, I'm wayy behind) with the newlyweds Monika & Jonathan, Kella took "Omg did they really just do that?!" to a whole new level. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll let them speak for themselves...

Do you now see why I'm like in awe of Kella?! Talk about not doing your  average shoot! Monika is definitely a badass bride. I think every Jersey girl should do this. Gives new meaning to "mermaid dress"  (yes corny, but bare with me it was kinda funny)

And if these shoot didn't rock enough, here's what makes it even better: See those stands in the background? Obviously they're closed up in this picture...buuuuut, the one to the right used to be my Papa Tabe's stand where he met my Momma Dukes. Awww a Seaside Heights love story :) Oh and of course this picture rocks on it's own merits.
